Happiness is a Singing Bird / Ευτυχία είναι ένα πουλί που κελαηδάει

A pair of Hoopoes, Upupa epops.

Spring is a time of renewal and abundance, and apart from plants and flowers that inhabit the earth, spring is especially celebrated by birds - air dwellers. It is the season when birds are thought of as "coming back", as if birds were returning along with the light of the sun.
Birds play an important role in the process of human awakening and the "recalibration of knowledge" on the planet - the first step into a new paradigm. And this new understanding begins with the observation and appreciation of what is. What is, is what has been taken for granted for such a long time, like it was hidden away from our eyes.
Observing the details and features of any object without the heart faculty of appreciation (acceptance, trust and gratitude), can only lead to a shadow of knowledge. And bird song can bypass the mind and its judgements, and speak straight to the heart. Appreciation can teach us to see
with new eyes, every single time, in a way where understanding has no limits. And that is why learning to listen and to distinguish the qualities of different bird songs can be so important.

Fear lies in the shadow of change, and in order to overcome long ingrained beliefs, like the dramatized "nothing ever changes towards the better", or "humans are such and such", it is good to remember that the hummingbird and the hawk, the swallow and the pigeon, the flamingo and the nightingale, and the whole class of birds, are what's left of the dinosaurs, after their sudden extinction.
This is a historical, life and consciousness shift that we tend to ignore.
The skies awaited the dinosaurs to master flight.
